Terps Face Georgia Tech for a Sunday Match Up!

Tomorrow the Maryland Terrapin's face Georgia Tech at home. So far the Terps are 11-4 overall and 1-1 in the ACC with new Head Coach Mark Turgeon at the helm. Georgia Tech is just 7-8 overall this season and just 0-1 in the ACC. If the Terps can show up with some strong and consistent defense they should come out on top and win this game. Four of the next six conference games are at home for the the Terps which includes a showdown with Duke January 25th at the Comcast Center.

Maryland has won eight of its last nine games, with its one loss to NC State. The Terps lost that match 79-74 mainly because they were roughed up all over the court. Some would say it was almost like a hockey match, but I just saw it as the team just could not match the energy NC State had that night. This season the Terps seem to perform really well at home, and with a few home wins before their Tuesday match on the 25th at Florida State they should gain some good momentum to be over .500 in the conference. For this being his first year Coach Turgeon seems to be leading this team in the right direction.

Go Terps!

Always remember machines break.

As we tried to record our PODCast this week the recording surface we use decided it did not want to work any more. It was a little glitchy for the last recording we did but this time it just flat out did not want to work. Kind of like Tiger Woods and his knee.

Today on the front 9 Tiger said he was pulling out of this weeks Players Championship with a score of +6. One report says he appeared to tweak his already mended knee after the first hole, which would explain his poor score on a Par 3. Tiger has been in a low point for a little while and most of it is a result of his own actions, but every one is entitled to redemption and I am hoping Tiger can bounce back from this recent string of misfortune.

In Basketball both LA and Boston are out and what a poor showing from both clubs. LA decided to play dirty at the end instead of doing the classy thing and just play the game like they are professionals. Then we have Boston where you have a group of guys who are playing like they are all AARP card holders. The Celtics really needed some life but the old guys on the team just couldn't keep up with the energized pace of the Heat.

So now that the Caps are out and the Celtics are out I just have 3 words to say.......LETS GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!

The post Easter Blitz!

Wow what a weekend! The Redwings, Predators, and......CAPITALS are all moving on to the next round! Now I am hoping the Bruins can be the team that they are and beat the snot out of the Habs! In baseball The O's let the Yankers win, but the Red Sox rediscovered that they do have talent! And the Nationals are looking more and more like a legitimate MLB team......Go figure! NBA you ask? The Celtics sweep the Nicks, New Orleans and Chris Paul put their foot down and let the Lakers know its not gonna be a cake walk for them!

The NFL?..................Some players on their own have organized groups and held their own workout / training sessions or mini camps that way they are ready just in case things turn around quick.

In other news....Like me I am sure most of you are recovering from good times with friends and family yesterday. Whats the term? Ah yes, and detoxing from all the different types of sugar we consumed! Time to enjoy this sunshine and grab my Nike+ sneakers and record my miles walked!
